  • May I bring a slow cooker?

Shared food or food preparation equipment like buffets and slow cookers are not allowed in the chalet.

Guests are allowed to bring a bag lunch and may consume that food in the Bear's Den or Upper Commons.  We ask that no bag lunches are consumed in the Eagle's Nest.

  • When are you going to open?

The earliest we have opened is October 7th, 2012. The latest opening in the last 25 years was November 28th in 2024.

In order to make snow we need the temperatures to be below freezing for multiple hours and we need low humidity. Snow from God is beautiful, but it does not make for good snow making weather.

This prohibition includes drones used for filming or videotaping, as well as any drone use by media or journalists operating above or within the ski area boundaries. Please contact the operations manager if you have any questions or if you seek prior authorization to operate any aerial drones.

Any authorized operation of aerial drones may be governed by Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) rules and regulations, local law enforcement as well as those policies separately established by this ski area, which may include certification, training, insurance coverage, indemnification requirements, and waivers or releases of liability.
