The Wild Mountain Developmental Team, or D-Team, is a fun and affordable program
for students of skiing or snowboarding. The program is open to young athletes 6-18, who are able to load the chairlift on their own and ski or ride any blue trails comfortably. Over the past years the D-Team has raised many snowsports enthusiasts in an atmosphere of friendly competition. D-Teams focus is on fundamental skill development, safety, and mountain etiquette. In addition, the athletes learn individual responsibility, build self esteem, and make new friends while participating in a team environment.
Alpine Skiing – Ages 6-18 |
Are you ready for great skiing, fun competition, and the chance to meet new friends? The Alpine Development Team is designed for young athletes who are interested in having fun and improving skills. Our specially trained coaches will help the athletes achieve their goals by developing strong skiing FUNdamentals. Low student to coach ratios allow the coaches to work with each skier, providing solid development and guidance. Time on the hill will be balanced between free skiing, directed free skiing, drills and gate training. In addition to practices at Wild Mountain there will be three races with other area D-teams, culminating with the MSRL Championship Race at seasons end. D-Team provides a challenging and fulfilling experience for all athletes as they spend the day with coaches and teammates building confidence and acquiring new skills. Sign me up!

FAMILY DISCOUNT PLAN
If you have more than one child in Wild Cats, Jr. Snowsports Academy, or D-Team you are eligible for our family discount. Your first child will pay regular rates, and each additional child will receive a $10.00 discount off the full program rate.

Snowboarding – Ages 8-18 |
Think about it…11 weeks riding with friends old and new, learning new tricks and landing big hits, cruising the terrain park with ollies and spins, ripping it up with awesome carves through the new carving course…the Wild Mountain Snowboard D-Team offers this and much more. The focus is on skill development and friendly competition with other teams. The structured training environment offers a planned progression of skills that safely allows athletes to achieve their individual goals. Our dedicated coaching staff works with each of the riders on air tricks, grabs and spins as they develop technical and fluid routines to score high points with judges…and peers. Along with new technical skills, riders develop sportsmanship, teamwork and mountain etiquette. The D-Team provides an arena for each athlete to reach their maximum potential while creating memories and friendships that last a lifetime. Sign me up!

Freestyle Skiing – Ages 6-18 |
Something new has been added on the D-team circuit, a venue for freeskiers. Freestyle skiing is a combination of skiing and acrobatics where individuals challenge themselves over bumps, jumps, rails and the half pipe. Speed, skill and technique are just as important as creativity and form. Practices are designed to be challenging and fun. Sign me up!
